As part of the Herald’s Business HQ series, Star’s Dave Pearson was interviewed on how to clean up Scotland’s heat. with novel ideas like “pay as you go” domestic heat purchase contracts and a call for a ban on gas boilers in new homes, this article is certainly not more “fluff” but a solid call to arms to help tackle the forgotten challenge.

We are careering off the tracks as far as clean heat is concerned and more of the same just won’t do it.

The problem is gas consumption and someone, somewhere needs to wake up and smell the methane for what it is; the big problem.
